POCATELLO – A woman was arrested early Sunday morning after detectives say she punched a police officer in the face.

Maicie Dena Bullock, 21, of Pocatello, is charged with assault upon an officer and resisting and obstructing.

Officers were in the area of 122 North and 3rd Avenue around 2 a.m. responding to a disturbance. Police say they saw Bullock kicking and screaming as two men tried to shove her into a car outside of Hooligan’s bar.

Police say Bullock was “clearly intoxicated” and when they asked her what was wrong, she punched an officer in the face. He was not seriously injured and investigators learned the men were trying to get Bullock to a safe place.

Bullock was booked into jail Sunday and was released on cash bail later that morning.
