DeOrr Kunz family speaks during final 2015 search
Published at | Updated atLEADORE — The DeOrr Kunz family spent Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday Oct. 24, back at the Timber Creek Campground searching for missing 2-year-old DeOrr Kunz Jr.
DeOrr Kunz Jr. disappeared July 10 while on a camping trip with his family. Despite a continued investigation by the Lemhi County Sheriff’s Office, and since August, the FBI, no trace of the toddler has been found.
This weekend’s effort will likely be the final search for the missing child before winter.
EastIdahoNews.com visited the campground Saturday and spoke with parents DeOrr Kunz and Jessica Mitchell, grandmother Trina Bates Clegg and aunt Tanisha Tompkins. The interviews are in the video above along with aerial video of the campground and the search effort.
The search was organized by the family and volunteers in conjunction with Fremont County Search and Rescue. The search continues Sunday, Oct. 25. To volunteer, individuals can come to the Timber Creek Campground, and sign in.
