Blackfoot police searching for man who left hospital

BLACKFOOT – Police are asking the public for help in finding a man who walked away from Idaho State Hospital South Saturday morning.
Dustin Jarret Hinkle, 33, was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, pants, and gray and white striped gloves. Police say he left the Blackfoot facility around 9:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.
According to police, Hinkle has violent tendencies and mental health issues. He is court ordered to be at the State Hospital and a warrant for his arrest is forthcoming.
Investigators believe Hinkle may be trying to get to the Boise area or Billings Montana area. He is 6 foot tall, 189 pounds, has brown hair, and blue eyes.
Officers say if you see Hinkle call 911 and do not approach him.
