RIGBY — One woman was transported by air ambulance after a two vehicle crash in rural Jefferson County on Wednesday night.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies and emergency responders arrived at the crash on 400 N 3800 E at about 7 p.m.

It is unclear what caused the accident, however, both vehicles — a 4-door sedan and an SUV ended up in a field adjacent to the road.

Emergency responders at the scene said one female passenger in the SUV was in critical condition. Emergency responders extracted her from the vehicle and she was transported by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the sedan was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
