USGS confirms 4.8 earthquake near Hoback, Wyoming

HOBACK, Wyoming — The U.S. Geological Survey has confirmed a 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit about 38 miles east of Hoback in western Wyoming.
The earthquake occurred at about 2:47 p.m. at a depth of 10 km, according to the USGS website.
It is unclear if the quake has resulted in any damage.
A number of people in the Upper Valley and Teton Valley reported feeling the quake.
