Home a total loss in fire near Soda Springs

The following is a news release from the Caribou County Sheriff’s Office.
SODA SPRINGS – On April 21 at 9:55 a.m. the Caribou County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Dispatch Center received notification of a structure fire at 1691 Corder Circle, a house about three miles west of Soda Springs.
Fire Departments from Caribou County, Soda Springs, Grace and Bancroft all responded in a mutual aid response.
When the Caribou County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene, the house was engulfed in flames. Despite the efforts of the fire departments, the structure was a complete loss. The estimated overall value of the loss has not yet been determined.
The owner of the property was not home at the time of the fire and no other structures were threatened. A pickup truck parked outside the residence was damaged by the fire.
The fire is under investigation as a routine action following a residential fire.
