ORIGINAL STORY

IDAHO FALLS — Gladys McCall, a 78-year-old woman, is missing in Idaho Falls. She was last seen wearing peach pajamas near 205 Lava Street.

The woman has “severe dementia,” according to an Idaho Falls Police Department notice. “She is deaf, blind in one eye and unable to communicate properly.”

The release also noted it is difficult for her to walk.

McCall left her residence this morning between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. while her family was preparing breakfast, said Idaho Falls Police Department spokeswoman Jessica Clements.

“The family saw her, went to go get her breakfast, came back and she was gone,” Clements said.

McCall is expected to be walking.

“From what we understand, given Ms. McCall’s mental state, there’s not necessary a specific area that she would go,” Clements said. “She doesn’t recognize certain things. So there’s not really a specific direction that we’re looking — just anywhere that she could be.”

If anyone has seen McCall this morning or found her, please call the police dispatch center at (208) 529-1200.
