Al Messerschmidt/Getty Images(ARLINGTON, Texas) — Tony Romo came through when it counted late in the fourth quarter and hit Terrance Williams with a eight-yard touchdown strike to rally the Cowboys back to a 24-20 win over the Lions in the wild card round on Sunday.
Romo finished the game with 293 yards and two touchdown passes to Williams, the first was a 76-yard bomb in the second quarter.
DeMarco Murray pulled Dallas within seven with a touchdown run in the third quarter, which set up the go-ahead pass to Williams with 2:32 left in the fourth quarter.
Romo’s winning drive came after officials reversed a pass interference penalty against the Cowboys, the Lions then punted the ball.
The Cowboys defense did the rest and sacked Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, who fumbled and Demarcus Lawrence recovered it to seal the deal for Detroit.
The Green Bay Packers will host Dallas next weekend.
