Local Mormon leadership speaks about Boy Scouts decision to admit openly gay leaders

The Mormon church, which sponsors more Scout units that any other organization, said it was “deeply troubled” by the decision by the Boy Scouts of America to admit openly gay leaders into the organization.
Monday, the national executive board for BSA cleared the way for gay men and lesbians to serve volunteers, counselors, and in other leadership roles.
