McDonald’s ‘Quarter Pounder’ Now a Little Bigger Than a Quarter Pound

Justin Sullivan/Getty Images(OAK BROOK, Ill.) — McDonald’s has upgraded the size of its Quarter Pounder.
The fast-food chain has changed the size of its famous Quarter Pounder, which before cooking used to be 4 ounces. Now, without any explanation, the raw meat’s weight is 4.25 ounces according to the McDonald’s website.
However by the time the burger hits your mouth, the cooked down version is 2.8 ounces. Not quite a quarter of a pound.
According to Business Insider, this is another addition to McDonald’s list of burger makeovers. Recently McDonald’s revealed they would be toasting buns for 5 seconds longer than before therefore making them 15 degrees toastier.
