IDAHO FALLS — Information regarding 19-year-old James R. “J.R.” Crockett, the missing Idaho Falls man, was not released for a week because of a clerical error in the Idaho Falls Police Department, said Idaho Falls Police spokesperson Joelyn Hansen.
“Unfortunately, some things happened that, basically, it didn’t get assigned to where it needed to go in the system,” Hansen said.
Crockett was reported missing by his family on Aug. 3 after he had been missing since July 31.
Police sent out a news release on Aug. 10.
Hansen said there is no suspicion of kidnapping or foul play at this time.
Hansen said police are still seeking any information regarding Crockett’s whereabouts.
Anyone with information regarding Crockett’s whereabouts is asked to contact the IFPD at 529-1200 or Crimestoppers at 522-1983.
