POLICE: Blackfoot woman arrested for burglary

IDAHO FALLS– Blackfoot resident Samantha Stevenson, 39, was arrested Saturday, Sept. 26, after stealing $585 in merchandise from Walmart.

Idaho Falls Police responded to the Walmart at 500 S. Utah Ave., around 3:30 p.m. Saturday when they received a call Stevenson was being detained by employees for stealing.

Walmart employees observed Stevenson placing multiple household items into her cart, purse and reusable shopping bag, before trying to leave the store without paying.

Stevenson was arrested and booked into the Bonneville County Jail. No bond has been set and Stevenson will appear before a judge on Monday Sept. 28.
