UPDATE: Straw truck fire stalls Interstate 15

Idaho State Police report Ernest Griggs, 39, of Filer, Idaho, was driving southbound on I-15 in a 2005 Peterbuilt semi pulling three trailers loaded with hay when the hay and trailers caught fire. It is still unclear what caused the fire.
Griggs was able to pull onto the shoulder, disconnect the power unit from the trailers, and was not injured.
The lanes were at least partially blocked for over seven hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

BLACKFOOT — A semi-truck carrying straw bales caught fire on Interstate-15 between Idaho Falls and Blackfoot Saturday, Sept 19.
The Bingham County Sheriff Office, Idaho State Police and Firth Fire Department responded to the blaze at about 2:30 p.m. in the southbound lane near milepost 99, according to Bingham County Dispatch.
It is unclear what caused the fire.
No injuries have been reported.
Traffic in the lane has come to a standstill for the past two hours as emergency responders put out the blaze and clear the lane.
