UPDATE: Oil tanker overturns on U.S. Highway 20
Published at | Updated atISLAND PARK — An oil tanker truck has overturned on U.S. Highway 20 at milepost 400 close to the Idaho/Montana border.
The accident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Idaho State Police reports the tanker truck was empty and no petroleum products were spilled. The tanker typically carries asphalt oil.
The driver, identified only as Bruce, was en route to Billings, Montana. He said the truck hit a slick spot during a rain storm and flipped.
Bruce was uninjured and was not transported.
