Ammon Broulim’s will open Monday; here’s what it looks like inside
Published at | Updated atAMMON – Bonneville County’s newest grocery store is scheduled to open its doors Monday, Dec. 21.
Broulim’s Fresh Foods at Sandcreek Commons has been under construction for most of this year. The 63,000 square foot building is one of the Rigby-based company’s biggest grocery stores.
“We are so excited to be here,” Broulim’s Vice-president Mark Oswald told EastIdahoNews.com. “We’ve tried to add lots of extra things to really make this store special.”
Some of those extra things include a sandwich bar, cheese island, fresh sushi, an in-store Dairy Queen and a mezzanine dining area with a meeting room for folks to enjoy a hot meal.
“We’ll have a fresh carving bar that will have smoked meats on a regular basis,” Oswald said.
Broulim’s joins Hobby Lobby, Cabela’s and several other businesses in Sandcreek Commons at the corner of Sunnyside Rd. and Hitt Rd.
“We’re trying to keep people here shopping and want them to feel like they don’t have to go somewhere else,” Eric Isom, chief development officer for Ball Ventures said. “The new Broulim’s creates an opportunity for people to have a quality grocery store close to home.”
The Ammon Broulim’s is the company’s tenth grocery store. Over 900 people work for the locally-owned chain – with stores in Rexburg, St. Anthony, Rigby, Driggs, Shelley, Montpelier, Soda Springs and western Wyoming.
“We’re really happy to be here in Ammon now and look forward to serving customers in this area,” Oswald said.
