IDAHO FALLS — The Idaho Falls Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 3143 South Pioneer Road in Idaho Falls early Wednesday, Dec. 9. Three engines and an ambulance responded to the scene on the edge of Idaho Falls at 2:30 a.m.

A storage barn, containing a tractor and other equipment, was fully engulfed in flames. The department was unable to save the structure or its contents, Department Battalion Chief Cody Anderson told EastIdahoNews.com.

The estimated cost of the structure and its contents is between $30,000 and $45,000, officials said.

No one was hurt in the fire and firemen were able to stop the blaze from spreading to neighboring structures.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time, but is being investigated. The blaze took place in an area with limited access to water, which hampered firefighter efforts. But the flames were still extinguished within 45 minuets, Anderson said.
