Jury finds Madison Co. man guilty on 10 child sex charges

REXBURG – Late Friday night a jury found Brandon Briggs guilty of ten felony counts, including multiple charges of lewd conduct with a child under 16, sexual abuse by soliciting a minor under 16 to participate in a sexual act and enticing through the internet.
Closing arguments ended around 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. The jury then deliberated for nearly three hours before reaching a verdict.
The incidents involved several victims and occurred during 2013 and 2014.
Briggs was accused of touching and engaging in oral sex with the boys while at his home or on trips with friends. Briggs bought at least one victim alcohol and cigarettes.
