Preston man killed in rollover crash
Published atBOX ELDER COUNTY, UT. — A Preston man died after rolling his truck on I-84 Tuesday morning, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
Police say Jay B. Heusser, 58, was driving a 2010 Dodge 4500 truck and had been Westbound I-84 near mile post 29 when the truck went through the median and rolled off the eastbound side of the highway.
After leaving the roadway, the truck rolled several times down an embankment and came to a rest on its wheels, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
Investigators say Heusser had been wearing a seatbelt but, due to the multiple rolls, slipped out of the belt and was ejected.
The truck was hauling two large containers of what appears to be some type of liquid feed for cattle.
