BLACKFOOT — A Shelley mother was killed in a car crash on Highway 91 at 512 North Tuesday night.
Mysty MacCormack Johnson, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene. Bingham County Sheriff Craig Rowland says officers and medical personnel arrived and noticed a blue Suburban on the West side of the road that had struck a ditch, fence and power pole.
Rowland says Johnson was traveling North on Highway 91 when she went off the right side of the road and over corrected.
A GoFundMe page created by Johnson’s sister says the young mother leaves behind a husband and three children, ages seven, three, and one. She worked at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
“She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister, granddaughter, friend, and always willing to help others,” the GoFundMe page says. “She will be greatly missed, and loved, by all those who knew her.”
We are gathering more information on the accident and will post new details when we receive them.
