REXBURG — The Madison County Republicans hosted a candidate forum for county and legislative candidates running for office on April 30.

The Idaho primary will be held May 17.

In this portion of the two-hour forum, incumbent Madison County Commissioner Todd Smith, who is running unopposed for the two-year District 3 county commission seat, spoke to voters.

Smith is a real estate broker at The Real Estate Office in Rexburg. He has been a commissioner since 2011.

Political newcomer Jason Drollinger also spoke about his candidacy for the two-year District 2 county commission seat. Drollinger is a health coach for Take Shape for Life.

Drollinger is running against incumbent commissioner Jon Weber, who could not attend this forum. A spokesman for Weber gave an introduction on his behalf.

Weber owns Circle of Love in Rexburg and has served as county commissioner since 2008.
