Father charged after child airlifted to hospital with critical injuries

The following is a news release from the American Falls Police Department.
AMERICAN FALLS — On the night of May 2, 2016 at 11:25 p.m., American Falls Police Department stopped a vehicle in the area of McKinley and Fall’s for erratic driving.
The officer was immediately greeted by the driver, who handed over a toddler who had a severe medical condition.
The police officer summoned for an ambulance and administered first aid until the ambulance arrived.
The toddler was transported to Power County Hospital by ambulance and then transported to Primary Children’s Hospital by Life Flight. At this time the toddler is listed in critical condition at Primary Children’s Hospital.
Francis Ernest White IV, 18-year-old male from American Falls, has been charged with felony injury to a child.
White is the father of the toddler. White was booked into the Power County Jail on the felony charge.
The investigation is still ongoing.
