REXBURG — The Madison County Republicans hosted a candidate forum for county and legislative candidates running for office on April 30.

EastIdahoNews.com will be featuring portions of that forum throughout this week as part of our ongoing election coverage.

The Idaho primary will be held May 17.

In this portion of the two-hour forum, two experienced law enforcement deputies took questions to help voters decide who will replace retiring Madison County Sheriff Roy Klingler.

Madison County Sheriff Capt. Cameron Stanford has 20 years of experience working as a Ricks College police officer and in the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

Teton County Sheriff Chief Deputy Rick Henry has 25 years of experience working for the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and the Teton County Sheriff’s Office.

Additionally, Madison County Prosecutor Sid D. Brown, who is running unopposed, spoke to voters during the forum.
