Traffic backed for miles after crash on Highway 20 near Rigby

RIGBY — A crash involving two vehicles on Highway 20 has traffic backed for miles.

The wreck happened around 5:30 p.m. near milepost 320 in the southbound lanes. Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, Idaho State Police and the Central Fire District responded to the accident.

Witnesses say traffic is at a standstill and cars are backed up for nearly five miles.

One witness tells EastIdahoNews.com a trailer rolled at the hitch while the truck stayed upright in southbound lane.

Emergency crews are on the scene and Center Fire District is reporting no injuries.
