Video shows thief during Guns N Gear burglary
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person who burglarized Guns N Gear on Tuesday morning.
Police responded to the business at 1315 S. Utah Ave. around 2:50 a.m. for a burglar alarm. When they arrived, officers found the thief had damaged the roll-up door to break into the business. He stole 16 handguns.
He is believed to also be connected to other reported burglaries within Idaho Falls and Bonneville County.
Guns N Gear general manager Andy Giddings says “thousands and thousands” of dollars worth of handguns were taken. Police say the suspect stole 16 handguns.
Surveillance video captured images of the thief driving a pickup into the rollup door and of him taking guns inside the store.
