Several people rushed to the hospital after two vehicle crash

IDAHO FALLS — Traffic has been diverted after a two-car injury accident that sent several people to the hospital.
The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of 17th Street and Curtis Avenue.
Witnesses say that three ambulances responded the scene. Multiple police units responded to control traffic.
Eastbound traffic on 17th Street has been reduced to one-lane. All westbound traffic is blocked between Fife and Rollandet. Drivers are asked to take alternate routes.
Police confirm there are injuries, but the extent of those injuries or the number of people involved in the accident has not been officially released.
Witnesses tell EastIdahoNews.com that it appeared four adults were transported along with an infant.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
