2 teens in custody after student is stabbed at Marsh Valley High School
Published at | Updated atARIMO — Two teenagers are facing aggravated assault charges after a knife incident at Marsh Valley High School.
The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office tells KPVI a student was stabbed at the school on Tuesday.
Authorities say the two boys had been bullying another student for a while and things escalated when one of the bullies used a knife to slash the victim in the arm and leg. He was also stabbed in the calf.
The 14-year-old victim was taken to Portneuf Medical Center to receive treatment for the stab wound. He was later released.
Two 14-year-old boys were booked into the county’s juvenile detention center. They were charged with felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit a felony.
One of the juvenile suspects was also charged with juvenile in possession of tobacco.
