Idaho Gubernatorial candidate visiting Idaho Falls this afternoon
Published at | Updated atBOISE — Republican Tommy Ahlquist, a medical doctor and developer, announced this morning in Boise that he is running for the governor of Idaho.
“I’m running for Governor because I believe in Idahoans, and I believe with fresh ideas and new leadership we can build an even better Idaho,” said Ahlquist. “My career in business and medicine has taught me valuable lessons about the role of government, the failures of overregulation and an appreciation for hard working Idahoans.”

Ahlquist will be in Idaho Falls this afternoon, where he will speak at Bill’s Bike & Run on Pier View Dr. at 1 p.m.
He is planning a 97-city tour around the state to meet voters and explain his main three platforms: Fixing Idaho’s health care gap, economic development and education.
Following his Idaho Falls visit, Ahlquist will visit Kimberly and Coeur d’Alene.
