Idaho State Police reports show officers received a call about a possible drunk driver in the downtown Idaho Falls area. Burkhalter’s most recent release from Idaho Department of Correction’s custody was in September. According to IDOC officials, he was considered a fugitive when the parole commission issued a warrant on April 19.
Burkhalter was being held in the Bonneville County Jail on no bond Friday. He will make his first court appearance Monday.
