FEEL GOOD FRIDAY: A surprise for a veteran who restores wheelchairs for other veterans
Published atFeel Good Friday is a weekly segment where EastIdahoNews.com partners with Wackerli Auto to surprise people in our community with random acts of kindness.
This week we decided to honor Frank Smith. Frank is a Vietnam veteran who heads the Veterans Mobility program. This non-profit organization refurbishes electric wheelchairs.
The mobility program began two years ago when a veteran wanted to donate his electric wheelchair to a fellow veteran. Frank says he was only planning on refurbishing one. Instead, he’s refurbished over 150.
Frank is a true hero and we surprised him at work with a gift certificate to one of his favorite places.
Watch the video above to see how everything turned out!
