Man wanted in connection to 3 bodies found at Caldwell home
Published atCALDWELL — Three women who were found dead in a storage shed earlier this week were all shot sometime within the last two weeks.
The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office says the women, who were not identified, range in ages from mid-teens to mid-50s. All three victims died from a single gunshot wound.
A man who lived at the Caldwell home where the bodies were found has been named a “person of interest” in the triple homicide, according to investigators.
Gerald Michael Bullinger, 60, has not been found and should be considered “armed and dangerous,” investigators say. He may be driving a white Ford Focus with Utah plates 129 UMP.
Bullinger, who goes by Mike, was last seen in Ogden, Utah ten days ago. He is currently wanted on a nationwide no bond warrant for failure to report the deaths.
“We have no idea where he would be at this time,” Canyon County chief deputy Marv Dashiell said during a news conference Wednesday. “We’re hoping someone may know where he is. We are working with agencies inside the state of Idaho and agencies in surrounding states.”
Bullinger is described as being 6 feet 1 inches tall, about 240 pounds and has gray hair and brown eyes.
Several dead animals were also removed from the property.
“It is gruesome,” Dashiell said. “One of the things we want to know is why. We don’t know — we’re trying to put pieces together reaching out to family members and friends.”
A positive identification of the victims has been slowed due to their decomposed state.
“There was no opportunity for a visible identification to be made,” Dashiell said.
DNA samples, including finger prints and dental records, have been collected and are being analyzed.
Anyone with information about Bullinger’s whereabouts is asked to call (208) 454-7531.
