Rexburg Police Dept. holds 7th annual special needs luncheon
Published atREXBURG — The Rexburg Police Department welcomed hundreds of special needs children and adults with their parents to a luncheon Wednesday afternoon.
The annual picnic at Porter Park has been held for the past seven years and officers say everyone always has a good time.
“This helps our officers get to know these individuals if they ever need assistance,” Rexburg Police Capt. Randy Lewis says. “Some of these guys may be scared of us because we’re in a uniform so we try to break down those barriers and just have fun.”
Here are some photos of the luncheon from the Rexburg Police Department.
