IDAHO FALLS — Subway Restaurants of Idaho Falls are providing subs to 200 homeless and low-income individuals during their annual Day of Giving today starting at noon on the intersection of Memorial Boulevard and D Street.
The event aims to assist people in need with a free meal, allowing the Rescue Mission to move the allocated funds for that day to another program.
The Idaho Falls Rescue Mission currently serves over 100 meals each day and houses more than 150 men, women and children per night at its five shelters and apartments for homeless families.
Subway Restaurants are also encouraging the public to give by donating items such as food, garbage bags, cleaning supplies, toothbrushes, toothpaste, socks, undergarments and gently used or new tennis shoes for men and women in need.
Subway will provide a $6 cash card in exchange for donations dropped off at the Idaho Falls Rescue Mission, 830 Park Avenue, Idaho Falls.
