Dealership giving away new 2017 car to benefit Blackfoot high school
Published at | Updated atBLACKFOOT — Blackfoot High School is receiving a large gift with four wheels from a local car dealership and one lucky person will drive away a winner.
Tadd Jenkins Auto Group, the new owner of the former 20th Century dealership, is giving a new 2017 Ford Fiesta to the school.
The dark gray vehicle, wrapped in Blackfoot High School colors, depicts the Blackfoot Broncos logo on the roof and will be raffled off to a winning ticket holder during the final football home game of the 2018 season.
Tickets will cost $10.00 each and will be available throughout the year at various Blackfoot Bronco activities and sporting events.
Money generated from the raffle will be used to fund school activities including athletics, cheerleading, band, choir, drama, debate and more.
“Because of Tadd Jenkins Auto Group’s generous gift, many of our high school’s activities will be greatly enhanced, which will not only benefit the students and faculty, but the entire Blackfoot community,” principal Roger Thomas said in a news release. “It is our hope that the entire community will get behind this fundraiser and make it a huge success.”
The car will be introduced this Friday evening by Tadd Jenkins who will be present at the halftime festivities of Senior Night as the Bronco’s welcome rival, Pocatello to town in a district game with state tournament implications. Everyone is urged to attend and cheer on the Broncos.
The Tadd Jenkins dealership in Rigby has donated a new car every year to the Jefferson School District for the past five years.
