UPDATE 8:30 p.m.

The Idaho Falls Police Department is asking the public for help in finding the suspect who stole an SUV with two children inside Wednesday evening.

A white Toyota Sequoia was stolen from the Boy Scouts of America building on Yellowstone Ave. around 5:10 p.m.

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the SUV at the BSA building or on South Boulevard Ave. at this specific time to call (208) 529-1200.

The children were unharmed and have been reunited with their mother.

ORIGINAL STORY

IDAHO FALLS — A mother has been reunited with her two children after her SUV was stolen Wednesday evening with the kids inside.

The woman was inside the Boy Scouts of America building at 3910 S. Yellowstone Hwy. when the vehicle was taken.

At the same time she called 911 around 5:10 p.m., police located her abandoned SUV with a blinker on at 7th Street and South Boulevard Ave. The kids were inside the car, according to Idaho Falls City spokeswoman Kerry Hammon.

The mother has been reunited with the children and officers are on the scene. Police have not released information on the suspect.
