EIRMC announces new CEO

IDAHO FALLS — Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center has announced its new chief executive officer following the retirement of predecessor Doug Crabtree.

Jeff Sollis, the hospitals’ current Chief Operating Officer, has been named EIRMC’s new CEO, according to a news release.

The change in leadership will be made official Jan. 1.

Sollis has a decade of background experience in hospital leadership at large scaled facilities around the nation. Currently, he oversees the operation of the 334-bed medical/surgical hospital, freestanding behavioral health hospital, and cancer center, according to the release.

Before his EIRMC leadership experience, Sollis served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Orem, Utah. He also served as the Assistant COO at HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas and Assistant Administrator at HCA North Suburban Medical Center in Thornton, Colorado.

Sollis earned his Masters of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.A. in Behavioral Science and Health from the University of Utah.

Sollis has been instrumental in recruiting doctors to support major services at EIRMC including its cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, electrophysiology, psychiatry, pediatric subspecialties, and radiation oncology.

Sollis recently completed a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce and is serving on Idaho State University’s Physician Assistant Advisory Board according to the release.
