Good Question: Does Santa Claus really exist?

Every Christmas, children eagerly anticipate looking under the tree to find out what Santa Claus has brought them. For them, the magic of Christmas is alive and well.
Then, as they get a little older, they start to wonder how Santa can visit all the houses in the world in one night.
Eventually, they decide believing in Santa is silly and childish, and they choose not to believe anymore.
Through the teenage and early adult years, Santa Claus becomes a mythical fairytale.
Then one day something unexpected happens…
They get married and have a child of their own. Santa Claus returns in full splendor, and he is even better than they remembered.
This cycle repeats itself with every generation.
Does Santa Claus really exist?
I would like to clue you in on a little experiment I’m conducting this year.
My daughter just reached the tender age of four. This holiday season she has felt the full measure of Christmas cheer. The mere sight of a Christmas tree fills her with joy, and she doesn’t even care what she gets. She only wants Santa to come and bring her a present. For her, the magic of Christmas is enough, and it’s real.
Ten days before Christmas, she wanted to write a letter to Santa. She’s too young to write it herself, so I wrote it on her behalf, as follows:
I dropped the letter in the mail Tuesday. If anything happens, I will report back to you.

I did not write it. I came across it years ago from an unknown author. I’ve enjoyed sharing it with my family every year since then. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
