IDAHO FALLS — Officials are warning drivers of slick roads after multiple crashes have been reported Sunday night across eastern Idaho.

A property damage crash was reported on U.S. Highway 20 at the junction of Interstate 15 in Idaho Falls, according to Idaho State Police, and a semi-truck jackknifed in the median of I-15 at milepost 106 near Shelley. Police say nobody was seriously injured.

White-out conditions have been reported in some areas of Blackfoot through Idaho Falls.

“It’s been a while since many of us have driven in snow, and conditions may be worse than we realize,” the National Weather Service in Pocatello tweeted. “Please reduce speeds while driving tonight. The worst conditions now are between Pocatello and Idaho Falls on I-15.”

Police encourage drivers to slow down and leave plenty of space between vehicles on the road.

Snow is expected to fall through 11 p.m. in the lower elevations and through the night into Monday at higher elevations. High winds are also being reported across the region, according to the National Weather Service.
