New Maverik location hosts open house in Idaho Falls
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS – After several months of construction, the new Maverik on the corner of Sunnyside Road. and Yellowstone Highway in Idaho Falls is officially open for business.
Maverik employees were in the store Wednesday giving away free food and prizes during an open house.
The new store is much bigger than the previous Maverik store at this same location. The purpose of the new store is to accommodate more people inside and outside of the store.
Store manager Buck Wolfe says the improvements are all about providing better service to their customers.
“We want people to feel (right at home) when they come here,” says Wolfe. “This is a family-oriented business. Our rule is to treat people better than they expect to be treated.”
The new store has several new features, including a made-to-order bakery. Wolfe says they are one of the first stores in the area to sell street tacos and brick oven pizza.
A man who goes by the name “Yeti” works in Maverik’s marketing department. He says people also need to try the Bonfire Grill.
“When most people think of convenience store, gas station food, they turn their nose up at it. Every item that we make is fresh and has a one-day shelf life,” Yeti says.
Wolfe says Maverik takes care of its employees and its customers. He says he loves doing business with people who come in.
“We’ve upgraded and made this new and ready to rock and roll for our customers. We want our customers to have the best experience,” Wolfe told us.
The open house is happening until 8 p.m. Wednesday at 1520 W. Sunnyside Rd. in Idaho Falls.
