IDAHO FALLS — Police continue to search for a vehicle being driven by a high school teenage boy who is distraught and threatening self-harm.
The boy, whose name has not been released, left his home around 6 a.m. Monday in a 2009 silver, hatch-back Nissan Versa with license plate number 8B-EF732. He had firearms with him, although police don’t believe he is a threat to the public.
The young man lives and attend schools on the West side of Idaho Falls, which is where he was last seen.
“We do appreciate any efforts to spread the word of the IFPD’s request for the public’s help to locate the boy’s vehicle,” Idaho Falls Police spokeswoman Holly Cook said in an email to EastIdahoNews.com. “Police are confident that if they can locate the vehicle, they are very likely to find the boy.”
If you locate the vehicle matching the description, police ask that you do not attempt to approach it or the individual, but rather call the Idaho Falls Police Department immediately at (208) 529-1200.
