IDAHO FALLS — Idaho Falls Police are looking for a teenager who left home this morning with two firearms.

The high-school aged boy is driving a silver hatchback 2009 Nissan Versa with license plate number 8B-EF732.

“We have no reason to believe that he is a threat to the public but he’s distraught and has made tendencies about ending his own life,” Idaho Falls Police spokeswoman Holly Cook tells EastIdahoNews.com.

The boy left his home around 6 a.m. and has not been seen since. The young man lives and attend schools on the West side of Idaho Falls, which is where he was last seen.

Idaho Falls School District 91 schools on the west side of the city and the American Heritage Charter School have been notified and staff are taking precautions.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to call Idaho Falls Police immediately at (208) 529-1200.
