Woman taken to hospital after two-car crash on US 26
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — A 67-year-old woman was injured in a crash on US 26.
Idaho State Police responded to a wreck around 3:25 Monday, March 19, at the intersection of N 25th E and US 26.
Investigators reported Keagan Huffman, 18, from Rigby was heading east on US 26 when she attempted to make a left hand turn onto N 25th E in her 2000 Ford Focus. Police report she failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
Kathryn Stewart, 67, from Idaho Falls, was heading west on US 26 in 2004 Mercedes C240. She collided with Huffman. She was transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by ambulance. According to police, Steward was wearing a seatbelt, however, Huffman was not.
Huffman did not sustain any major injuries.
