CHUBBUCK — Less than two years after it opened, Chipotle Mexican Grill in Chubbuck is permanently closing next week.

The location is one of dozens underperforming Chipotle restaurants across the country that will close, according to Business Insider. The Twin Falls restaurant, which has been open since last August, will also cease operations.

Chipotle first opened at 4013 Yellowstone Avenue in August 2016.

The upcoming closures come at a time of change for the fast casual restaurant. The company has discussed new initiatives including deals to attract customers outside of lunch and dinner, plans to roll out new menu items, and a new loyalty program test in the second half of 2018.

Chipotle’s menu features burritos, tacos, burrito bowls and salads. The burrito chain started in Denver in 1993 and has grown to more than 2,300 restaurants.
