BYU-Idaho hosting Campus Day Friday

REXBURG — Prospective Brigham Young University-Idaho students will be visiting on Oct. 19 for the school’s Campus Day.
The school will host tours, information sessions and department fairs for parents and possible future students, according to the university’s website. Tours include financial aid and housing information.
Admissions director Tyler Williams said information sessions for parents and students help answer questions visitors might have – like how students will pay for school and where they will go after graduation.
Each department also sets up a table where students can ask questions about majors and careers.
“Many times the departments will have displays and interactive activities to showcase their offerings,” Williams said.
Williams said surveys have shown visitors are more likely to apply and attend BYU-Idaho after Campus Day visits. Students have said Campus Day dispelled myths about the campus and some said they decided to apply because of what they felt on campus.
“Interacting with our visitors and helping them discover all of the wonderful opportunities BYU-Idaho has to offer them is my favorite part of Campus Day,” Williams said. “You can feel the genuine excitement they have as the day goes on.”
