New Mongolian grill opens its doors
Published at | Updated atREXBURG – You may have noticed a new Mongolian grill restaurant in Rexburg over the weekend.
Adam’s Mongolian Grill held a soft opening Friday at 505 N. 2nd East.
Sophie Casassa, the restaurant’s marketing director, tells EastIdahoNews.com about 140 people showed up to sample their freshly-cooked menu options.
“We have three different bowl prices — small, medium or large. You just pick what noodles, vegetables and meat you want and bring it to us. We fry it in front of you,” Casassa said.
The menu includes appetizers like spring rolls, fried pot stickers, Butterfly shrimp and crab rangoons. Adam’s Mongolian Grill also offers specialty Boba and Bubble drinks, which are fruit drinks with Tapioca balls.
Casassa says they’ve also tried to cater to young families by offering changing tables in both the men’s and women’s bathrooms.
Adam Lin, the owner, was inspired to open a Mongolian Grill because he used to manage his uncle’s Mongolian Grill in San Francisco, California for years.
“He wanted to do something he was familiar with and he loves to cook with fresh foods. So this was his first choice,” says Casassa.
Lin opened Dong’s Sushi in August 2015 just two doors down from Adam’s Mongolian Grill. It’s currently open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with a 10 p.m. closing time Fridays and Saturdays.
Casassa says they’re working hard to train their staff and get things running smoothly. Adam’s Mongolian Grill is hoping to have an official grand opening in the next few weeks. A date is yet to be determined.
In the future, they may expand the menu to include more options, but for now, Casassa says they are just playing it by ear.
Adam’s Mongolian Grill is located at 505 N. 2nd E. #104 in Rexburg. Its hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursdays, with a 10 p.m. closing time Fridays and Saturdays.
