Douglas R. Wareing, 90, died after being transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
The crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m., according to Bonneville County Sheriff Sgt. Bryan Lovell.
It’s unclear what caused the crash; however, air bags were deployed and the driver of the pickup required CPR as soon as emergency personnel arrived.
The semi was owned by Super T Transport in Idaho Falls.
“Even though Super T Transport was not at fault in this accident, we are still heartbroken from the event of the accident and our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim’s family that was involved in today’s accident,” said Super T Transport President Heath Treasure.
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash.
ISP and Bonneville County are currently on an injury crash involving a pickup and semi on 65th South by Love's Truck Stop and The Flying J. Road is blocked in both directions. Plan for an alternate route of travel. @BonnevilleCSO
