IDAHO FALLS — Emergency crews are evacuating residents in the area of Southeast Bonneville Drive and Ponderosa Drive in Idaho Falls due a natural gas leak.
Crews responded to the scene just after 10 a.m. Thursday, and called nearby residents, asking them to leave.
Law enforcement tells EastIdaohNews.com a 2-inch gas line was hit by a construction crew working on Bonneville in front of a home.
The evacuation area is between Ponderosa Drive and Juniper Drive and between Southeast Bonneville Drive to 15th Street.
Authorities have not said when repairs will be finished, and people are asked to avoid the area until the all-clear signal has been given.
