Rocky Mountain Power schedules maintenance outage for 1,700 Rexburg customers
Published at | Updated atREXBURG – Rocky Mountain Power customers in the Rexburg area received an outbound call yesterday notifying them of a planned power outage Sunday November 18.
The outage will impact 1,745 customers and will last about 10 hours between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Dave Eskelsen, a spokesman for Rocky Mountain Power, tells EastIdahoNews.com this outage is for maintenance.
“Periodically we have to do maintenance work and de-energize the circuit while it is done,” Eskelsen says. “Much of our maintenance is done transparent to customers. We can do a lot of that work while the lines are energized, but not always.”
The exact nature of the maintenance is unknown at this time. EastIdahoNews.com has requested additional information. We will post updates when they are available.
