‘Game of the Titans’ to raise money for Thunder Ridge mascot
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — A fundraiser this Saturday night will help raise money for the purchase of a Thunder Ridge High School mascot.
Allie Nield, a Thunder Ridge student, organized the ‘Game of the Titans’ for her senior project. It will be held at 7 p.m. in the Thunder Ridge High School gym. Admission is $5 per person.
Allie’s mother, Lanett Neild, said she and Allie have been working on the fundraiser for the past few months.
Three teams will be playing at the event: students, faculty members and a group from the community. The community team includes members from Apple Athletic Club, KB Concrete, Mountain View Hospital and other companies.
Each game will include two periods that are twelve minutes long. The first game to be played will be students vs. faculty, followed by students vs. community and finishing with faculty vs community. A mini cheer performance will take place at each half time.
A new mascot costume can range from $250 to $3,000 and Nield is hoping to raise at least $250 at the Saturday event.
