Man arrested in connection to Preston homicide case

PRESTON — A man was arrested Tuesday evening in connection with the death a Preston man.
Marlin McQueen, 35, held in the Cache County Utah Jail, according to a news release from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. He is accused of killing Wilden Everett Lovin Jr., 31, and formal charges are expected to be announced Wednesday.
Lovin was found dead inside his home at 515 South 200 East Saturday by an unnamed person who told dispatchers the death “was not normal,” according to a news release. Deputies responded and notified supervisors that the scene indicated foul play.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed Wednesday in Boise when a cause of death will be determined.

Investigators with Preston Police Department, Bannock County Sheriff’s Office, Bingham County Sheriff’s office, Idaho State Police and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, conducted four days of a vigorous investigation leading to the arrest of McQueen.
After the arrest, McQueen is being held without bond until an arraignment Wednesday.
