TETONIA — Another east Idaho school is closing its doors because of illness.

Tetonia Elementary has canceled classes, winter sports and parent-teacher conferences through Monday, Feb. 4. Parents and students were notified of the closure Tuesday.

Hope Lutheran School has also canceled classes through Monday due to sickness.

Other schools in eastern Idaho, including Adams Elementary School in Rexburg, American Heritage Charter School and Taylorview Middle School, have experienced large numbers of absences due to illness. Medical professions encourage parents to keep children at home who are experiencing cold and flu-like symptoms.
